In-Reach
My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
John 17: 20-23
While He was on Earth, Jesus prayed for His future followers to be united with Him and the Father as well with each other. He was praying for us! His desire was to see His people be brought into complete unity through a relationship with Him, in order that we may be effective in sharing His glory throughout the world. What a testimony that is! The In-Reach Ministry at Harvest aims to do just that.
Through the example of serving the church and loving each other, the brothers and sisters involved with this ministry seek to promote fellowship and unity within the community at Harvest through different means. The In-Reach Ministry organizes church events such as the annual Fall Picnic, baptisms at the beach, and other fellowship gatherings.
The In-Reach Ministry also encompasses the Welcome Ministry for Sunday Service who greet and usher the congregation. The ministry also gets to the heart of service by serving lunch to the Harvest and EFC congregation after church. All of these ministries aim to fulfill God’s purpose for His believers to be unified in such a way that the world cannot help but see God’s love.
