Missions Ministry
Missions Ministry is focused on sending, supporting and equipping short-term as well as potential long-term missionaries overseas to share the gospel and help the needs of a particular people group.
As the “senders” in missions, we hope to equip our missionaries with the knowledge of the gospel, a sensitivity for other cultures and a heart to love God’s people in service and spiritual guidance. As the “goers” in missions, we try to be an example of Christ’s affliction on the cross by living sacrificially and selflessly towards the people we serve.
We believe in supporting long-term missionaries, cooperating with the local churches overseas, in hopes to unify the universal Body of Christ and in furthering God’s kingdom. As members of Harvest and EFC, we aim to bring global awareness to our local church so that we may partake in God’s will to see the nations worship His name.
Summer 2011
China Inland Missions - In July, we hope to send a team to teach students English and build relationships. This team will be going with EFC.
Shanghai Summer Missions – We have 3 goals: 1) Help college students, 2) Teach migrant students through a NGO called Stepping Stones and 3) Work with orphans through Helena’s House of Hope.
Kyrgyzstan - We hope to send a team to Kyrgyzstan in the summer to teach at a Christian school. We will be partnering with CASA who will host us and allow us to help the staff at their school. This team will be leaving in July.
